Ingredients

  • Black mustard seed 2/3 tsp
  • Kari leaf 5pcs
  • shredded unsweetened coconut 2 tbsp
  • Tomato chopped  .8 cup
  • 16/20 count shrimp 9pcs
  • Ginger / garlic paste 1.5 tbs
  • Turmeric 12/3 tablespoons
  • Salt TT
  • Cayenne one tsp
  • 35% cooking cream 1 1/3 cup
  • Cooking Oil  1/3 cup
  • Caramelized Onion Paste 1 tbsp
  • Chopped cilantro / julienne ginger garnish

Preparation

  1. Heat oil
  2. Add mustard seed and karl leaf to hot oil. Allow mustard seed to crackle and add shrimp.  sauté briefly over high heat. Add shredded coconut and sauté briefly.
  3. Season and add salt, ginger/garlic , turmeric and cayenne.
  4. Add tomatoes and onions. Sauté over high heat.
  5. Add cooking cream, let boil and reduce heat to simmer. shrimp can be removed from pan to avoid over cooking but can also remain in sauce for a firmer texture. let sauce reduce to desired consistency.
  6. Garnish and serve
